The Second Company – commanded by Saul Thekla
Saul is possibly responsible for the downfall of the Celestial Lions chapter (assuming rumours are to be believed). Saul was responsible for the initial outcry against the Inquisition’s actions when Inquisitor Apollyon ordered the destruction of the planet Khattar. Saul is an honourable warrior that epitomises the Celestial Lions’ reputation for honourable and fair conduct as well as their desire to preserve life rather than seeing it as a disposable resource.
Saul Thekla
Command Pride “Cleansing Flames”
The members of Saul’s Command Squad seem to quickly grow an affinity towards purging the alien, heretic and traitor with the cleansing heat of flamers. Many a mob of orks has succumbed to their concentrated firepower.
Brother Nqobizitha – Dreadnought
Brother Nqobizitha Was wounded during the campaign to save the planet Novus Majoris. Nqobizitha was instrumental in helping the elements of the Celestial Lion’s rearguard action delay the Orks while defences were bolstered and setup at the Hive of Novus Sextus.
Brother Thuthuka – Dreadnought
Brother Thuthuka earned his entombment during the Cillia campaign. After his squad had been wiped out by a horde of Greenskins, Thuthuka managed to hold back the bloodthirsty aliens for a whole night before reinforcements arrived. Unfortunately the reinforcements arrived too late to save Thuthuka from being overwhelmed. His injuries were mortal, but as is the case with any brother who is graced with a second chance in a dreadnought, his spirit lived on as strong as ever.

Tactical Pride “Shields of Iron”
(Tactical squad armed with a lascannon and meltagun. The sergeant is armed with a storm bolter and power axe. Mounted in a rhino)
The Shields of Iron have frequently found themselves in dire situations where they have been forced to hold out against a for of superior numbers. It is testament to their courage, skill and tenacity that they are yet to concede the ground they are defending in such situations with minimal casualties.
Tactical Pride “Emperor’s Might”
(Tactical squad with a missile launcher. Mounted in a rhino with hunter killer missile)
The marines in the Squad known as Emperor’s Might are even more devout in their dedication to the Emperor than a normal marine. Such is their fervour, that they fight with the ferocity of a warrior driven by a singular purpose. They are often used as part of a spearhead when launching an assault.
Tactical Pride ” The Prowlers”
(Tactical squad armed with a flamer and missile launcher. Mounted in a rhino with hunter killer missile)
Scout units are not always available to a company. In such situations The Prowlers are often used in a scouting capacity. Once they locate the enemy, they will often flank them in order to cause a distraction while the main assault force moves into position.
Tactical Pride “Lion’s Thunder”
(Tactical squad armed with a heavy bolter and a flamer. Mounted in a rhino with hunter killer missile)
Lion’s Thunder is an exemplary example of a tactical squads potential. Always taking flexible weapon load outs to maximise their combat potential they have laid waste to many an enemy.
Devastator Pride “Lion Lancers”
(Devastator squad armed with two lascannons and two missile launchers. Mounted in a rhino with hunter killer missile)
Despite the squad name of lancers seemingly being counter intuitive to the static role of a Devastator squad, it’s not the mobility to which the name refers. The Righteous Lancers form the backbone of the 2nd company’s anti tank capabilities. They favour the awesome tank busting capabilities of the lascannon, but are more than ready to use the more versatile missile launchers if necessary. Many an enemy vehicle has quickly succumbed to the lances of energy from the squad’s lascannons.
Devastator Pride “Lion’s Might”
(Devastator squad armed with four heavy bolters. Mounted in a rhino with a hunter killer missile)
The squad Lion’s Might is widely known for their ability to decimate wave after wave of Greenskins. Often solely equipped with heavy bolters to help counter the numerous foes that an Ork horde presents, they are capable of laying down an incredible amount of highly accurate fire.
Assault Pride “Avenging Angels”
(Assault squad. Sergeant has a powerfist )
The Avenging Angels are masters of deploying from a Thunderhawk. They often deploy from a fast moving Thunderhawk into battle in order to strike swiftly and decisively into the ranks of the enemy.
Assault Pride “Lion’s Roar”
(Assault squad. Sergeant is armed with a power weapon )
The jump packs of the Assault Squad Lion’s Roar have been modified slightly. While no changes have been made to the function of the jump packs so as not to offend their machine spirit, they have had a setup installed that converts the whine of the jump pack into a mighty roar, much like that of the Donnerkatze from the Celestial Lion’s homeworld.
